Alberta announces the results of the PNP draw for December 2021
Alberta has issued more invites to immigrate than it did in the previous PNP draw. The lowest CRS score needed for Express Entry candidates has increased somewhat
On December 14, Alberta welcomed 150 Express Entry applicants to file for a provincial nomination, an increase from the last round of invitations.
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) welcomed candidates who scored at least 351 on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which is a high score for an Alberta draw. In 2021, the majority of minimal cutoff scores were around 300.
Under the Alberta Express Entry stream, invited applicants may be considered for a provincial nomination. They will be one step closer to permanent residence in Canada if they receive the nomination. The Provincial Nominee Program allows provincial nominees to petition for federal immigration to Canada (PNP). Candidates who get provincial nominations for Express Entry are prioritized at the top of the pool and are more likely to obtain an Invite to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.
In the last Alberta draw, 100 candidates with CRS scores of at least 350 were invited.
How to apply for an immigrant visa through the Alberta Express Entry programme
To immigrate to Alberta using the Express Entry programme, you must first generate an Express Entry profile.
The Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program all use Express Entry as their application management system.
You will be given a score depending on the Comprehensive Ranking System if you are suitable for Express Entry (CRS). You earn points based on your age, education, work experience, English or French language skills, and other things.
IRCC runs Express Entry drawings on a regular basis, asking the top-scoring individuals to register for permanent residency.
Without a province nomination, it is possible to immigrate using the Express Entry procedure. Applicants with lower CRS scores can use the PNP to receive an automatic 600-point reward. If the lowest-scoring applicants in the new Alberta draw are chosen, their new CRS scores will be 951.
Who is qualified for the Express Entry Stream in Alberta?
You must have work experience in a qualifying occupation to enrol for the Alberta Express Entry stream.
The AINP will not provide a list of professions that are eligible for the stream; instead, it provides a list of professions that are not. Foodservice supervisors, transport truck drivers, and cooks are among the jobs available to those who apply under this stream. According to the provincial government website, due to the high volume of submissions, the processing of these requests may take longer.
Work experience, a Canadian education, or a job offer in Alberta are all characteristics that boost your chances of getting nominated. It also helps if you have a family member, such as a parent, kid, or sibling, who lives in Alberta.
It goes without saying that you must also meet the Express Entry eligibility standards. You must have a minimum CRS score of 300 to be considered. If you specified in your profile that you are interested in permanently relocating to Alberta, you may receive an invitation, technically known as a “Notification of Interest.”
After I obtain the NOI, what happens next?
You submit an application to Alberta for a provincial nomination.
If you are nominated, you will receive a bonus of 600 points added to your CRS score. After then, you can register for Canadian immigration if you receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from a later Express Entry draw.
